The concrete tiles, once cleaned, take on a sandstone appearance as the top surface has been removed and therefore they become more porous to the elements. The roof coating seals up the pores whilst still allowing the tiles to "flex" and still expel any moisture from the internal roof void.

For roof with slate of clay tiles Smartseal's clear acrylic Roof Sealer is the most appropriate to retain the aesthetic beauty of these natural products.

With all areas sensitive to over-spray sheeted up the contractor will at first spray the entire roof with a premium quality moss and algae killer to ensure that any remaining spores are eliminated. Then cutting in, by hand, the perimeter of the roof before utilising a professional quality airless sprayer to apply the product to the remaining roof structure.

Whichever product is being applied they have been developed to fully saturate and penetrate deeply into the roof tile structure. A first coat is applied in a heavier concentration to maximise the colour retentive abilities of the product as well as the moss inhibiting properties.

Once this first application has dried then a second coat is applied to further enhance and protect the roof tiles.

Once the whole roof has been either roof coated or roof sealed then once the site has been fully cleaned and tidied a customer walk round is undertaken to ensure 100% customer satisfaction with the outcome.
